The business name, SaLeTrA, LLC, is a combination of letters from the last names of three business partners: Jerry Sanko, William Lee and Judy Trabert. SaLeTrA, LLC is located in Iuka, Kansas, a small town five miles north of Pratt, KS on Hwy 281.
SaLeTrA, LLC involves a different type of printing on various types of materials. The process is called sublimation, which involves transferring an image from paper to metal, tile, glass or fabric. By applying heat of 400 degrees, the ink is transformed into a gas, which permeates the material leaving the transferred image on the material that cannot be worn off, scratched off or removed by any means. Items such as computer mouse pads, ceramic tiles, pictures on glass, metal plaques for awards and trophies are just a few items that SaLeTrA, LLC will have available. Custom items will be the main focus. Along with sublimated items, custom picture frames will also be among the list of items SaLeTrA, LLC will be able to create.
In addition to purchasing its equipment and supplies, SaLeTrA is dedicated to serving COOP's Awards existing customer base, including Fort Riley Army base near Manhattan, KS. Trophies and awards were just a couple of items regularly ordered. At the present time, SaLeTrA, LLC has a number of very interested potential customers. They are ready to place orders as soon as the equipment is moved and up and running. Although there are engraving businesses and t-shirt printing companies in and around the Pratt area, none use the sublimation process. With Pratt Community College, numerous schools and scores of clubs in the surrounding area, it was felt that a business such as this would be very well accepted and be a valuable addition to the Pratt area.
